First Bristol Corporation, Fall River, MA recently announced the acquisition and completion of reconstruction of the former 6-story, Ramada Inn on Route 1 in Norwood creating a new 140-room Hampton Inn. This redevelopment included a total interior demolition and reconstruction of the existing structure. The development provided an entirely new exterior EIFS façade, new windows, roofing, canopy, parking lot re-paving, and landscaping improvements. The interior construction included a two-story atrium lobby created by demolishing a portion of the second floor. The project also provided new life safety features, including a new sprinkler system and fire and smoke detection system to assist guest and first responders in the event of an emergency. All new mechanical functions were also installed, including a state of the art HVAC system and new electrical service and wiring throughout. All new guest rooms and bathrooms, including 32 new suites, together with a completely new furniture, fixture and equipment package highlighted the improvements. First Bristol is also pleased to announce that this project was recently selected by Hampton Inns, a member of the Hilton Hotel family, as it’s “Best Hotel Conversion Project in 2006” across the United States.
