James M. Karam (Jamie) is First Bristol Corporation’s Co-Managing CEO. In this role, Jamie has provided financial and development leadership for more than sixteen years with responsibilities including site selection, contractual negotiations, financing, development, and management of First Bristol’s current and future projects.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

Jamie has been actively involved in the development and oversight of over two million square feet of office, retail and hotel projects during his tenure at First Bristol. Recent projects include a 350,000 retail development in Fall River, MA and site acquisition and permitting for a 177 room hotel in Boston, MA. After graduating from Providence College with a dual concentration in Economics and Finance, Jamie was selected for the Fleet Financial Group’s Financial Analyst Training Program. This intensive program led to a Commercial Real Estate Finance position at Fleet Financial underwriting and managing real estate transactions from $5 million to $125 million in value within all asset classes.

Jamie is active in numerous civic, professional, and charitable organizations. Jamie currently serves as the President of the Fall River Boys and Girls Club, Vice President of the Fall River Office of Economic Development, Board Member of the Massachusetts State College Building Authority, Board Member of Saint Anne’s Hospital as part of the Steward Health Care System, and an incorporator of Bristol County Savings Bank. Previously, Jamie served as Board Member of the Fall River Chamber of Commerce. Jamie is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
